World Tennis Tour Timaru Receives Prestigious International Award

After a highly successful first edition in 2025, the World Tennis Tour Timaru event has been awarded as an outstanding event on the international tennis calendar, through the International Tennis Federation’s (ITF) Tournament Recognition programme.

The event is one of just 40 recognised, out of more than 1200 events held globally across 2025. The ITF Tournament Recognition programme rewards events that meet the highest international standards of organisation and delivery as decided by player and officials’ survey feedback in areas such as facilities, organisation, promotion and player wellbeing.

The event is back on the calendar from 9 to 15 March 2026, with tickets for semi-finals and finals days on sale from today. Attendance is free during weekdays, with ticketed sessions over finals weekend. Corporate hospitality boxes are also on sale and proving very popular, with limited spaces still available.
