Timaru to star in tourism campaign to attract Aussies

As the number of international visitors arriving in Canterbury continues to climb, Timaru will feature on Australia’s Sunrise breakfast show as part of a campaign to get even more Aussies across the ditch.

Venture Timaru operations and destination manager Di Hay said the show would broadcast live from Timaru on Tuesday, and it was hoped residents would come out in support.

Hay said the live broadcast would showcase a number of attractions and people of the town, as part of a campaign to attract Aussies to travel across the ditch.
