Service industry on show at Geraldine High School's expo

Students will have the chance to learn about future job opportunities as Geraldine High School hosts its Services Industries Pathway Expo on Wednesday.

The expo, which covers fields such as outdoor recreation, hair and beauty, accounting, and transport, is a chance for students to meet representatives from the service industries in the region. A total of 14 businesses have signed up for the event.

"It's about strengthening all those ties between business, school, and community," organiser and careers dean Anita Body said.

The expo will be the third one the school has hosted, with the first on construction and infrastructure industries, and the second on manufacturing and technology.

Body said they wanted a wide variety so they could cover areas which meet "the needs of all students".
