Dozens of business, land owners sign up to form CBD group
It's official - a group tasked with transforming Timaru's town centre will be formed.
The structure of the group and how it will be funded are still to be determined, after more than 30 business and land owners put their hands up to be part of the management group.
A decision to form the group was made at a central business district (CBD) summit presentation at a stakeholders meeting of about 50 people at the Landing Services Building on Tuesday night.
