Lunar New Year sees influx of tourists to Timaru

Nine years after his first visit, Ziquan Sun remembered how beautiful he thought New Zealand’s scenery was and now he’s back with his family.

This time around, Sun, who is originally from Shanghai but now resides in Brisbane, has returned with his wife, his parents and inlaws.

The family was in Timaru on Tuesday taking in the sights and hoped to catch a glimpse of a little penguin at Caroline Bay.
