‘Huge’ annual fundraising festival rocks Timaru

From “huge” crowds and an increase in vehicle numbers to more caravans than ever and sellout evening events, the 10th annual Caroline Bay Rock and Hop went off without a hitch at the weekend.

The Hospice South Canterbury fundraiser was held over four days from Thursday.

The pinnacle of the festival, Saturday’s Gala Day on the Bay, attracted possibly its largest crowd ever since the event began in 2017, events and marketing manager Kim Rogers said.
